A small space for great achievements
This trip is to be enjoyed. It’s not everyday you’re lucky enough to visit Asturias. Bean stews, Asturian chicken casserole, rice pudding, cider; fish from the north, hearty, flavoursome… and you’ve got to keep up your sports regime, too.
It’s not hard to find a hotel with a gym in Gijón, but none offer this view, nor the possibility of ending a workout on a sun terrace at sunset. The Olmec warriors in the tower accompany us, nonchalant, unaware of our sweat and that strange feeling of enjoyment we get when our heart beats fast, shortness of breath and the satisfaction of having achieved it. Another kilometre on the treadmill, another turn of the pedals. I can do it, I will do it, I have done it.

Sun Terrace:
a journey through time
Located on the 6th floor, the sun terrace is next to the Fitness Room and just underneath one of the towers that crown the building. Monitored and protected by pre-Hispanic inspired indigenous figures, Zig Zag Moderne-style characters transport us to exotic and fantastic cultures.
The sun terrace is western-facing, offering a view of the stunning sunsets and overlooking Gijón with a very different perspective.
