Protocol covid-19

At El Môderne Hotel we take the return to activity very seriously, our priority is to ensure the health of our team, and without a doubt the health of our guests.

For this reason, we have taken a series of very important measures, in order to carry out our work in a safe and reliable way, and we want to make you aware of it, so that you decide to stay at El Môderne Hotel with the best guarantees.

1. Training all of our staff on our prevention plan for both employees and guests.

2. Online check in. In order to avoid waiting times at reception, and the manipulation of documentation between guest and receptionist, we have implemented an online check in through a link that the guest will receive 3 days before the arrival at the hotel, so we expedite the welcome process and we avoid further contact.

3. Antibacterial decontaminating mat, the best solution to guarantee maximum hygiene at the entrance to our facilities.

4. We have adapted and expanded our cleaning and disinfection products: chlorinated products since viruses are deactivated after five minutes in contact with these disinfectants.

5. Deep disinfection both in common areas and rooms: tv control remotes, telephone, switches, door handles, blinds, hair dryers, etc.

6. Elimination of non-essential elements in the rooms such as: decorative pillows, magazines, stationery, etc. …

7. Spray mattress and pillows with specific disinfectant for professional use, as well as curtains.

8. Bed linen and towels always washed by industrial laundry, guaranteeing the disinfection of the clothes. This laundry has certification in the UNE-EN 14065 standard, which guarantees compliance with the processes, from the collection of used clothes to the delivery of clean clothes, attending to the most demanding cleaning and hygiene conditions.

9. Ventilation is essential to maintain the quality and safety of the air we breathe, so we have a ventilation protocol that opens all windows for at least 30 minutes.

10. We have room doors opening with disinfected contactless keys.

11. Protection of personnel by providing them with face masks / face shield and gloves.

12. Protective screen in the reception area.

13. The daily temperature will be taken to the hotel staff.

14. Automatic hydrogel dispensers in common areas and on each floor at the door of the elevators.

15. Our 2 elevators have a maximum capacity of 10 people each. Elevators may not be shared between people from different family units, unless masks are used.

16. The cleaning area staff will not agree to provide service in the rooms while the client remains inside, except for just cause, and in that case, the guest must be provided with a mask.

17. Separation for guests when waiting and approaching 2m reception.

18. We encourage the use of credit cards to avoid the use of banknotes and coins, having no minimum to make such payments effective.

19. Disinfection of the POS after each use in which there is contact.

20. Buffet breakfast with personal tweezers

21. Regulatory distance between tables.

22. We promote room service for the tranquility of our guests.

23. Our gym will be closed as a preventive measure.

24. The hotel will have a documentary control of the disinfection of all its areas.

25. Check out time, is the moment when most guests can gather at our reception space.  In order to avoid this, and for everybody’s safety, the payment for the stays must be done upon arrival. Any extra expenses incurred during your stay, will be paid at chek out. On the day of departure, you will find a methacrylate urn at reception , where you must deposit your room keys, in order to avoid contact, and from where they will be disinfected later. Of course, we will be delighted to hear your commets about your stay at our hotel, and wish you to visit us back again soon.

26. Flexibility of our cancellation policy: July and August, up to 4 days before without cancellation fees. Canceling 4 days before the day of arrival, the first night’s payment would be validated in a voucher to be enjoyed for 12 months from the date of issue.
